Thoroughly mix 100 ml BBQ sauce, 2 tablespoons maple syrup, and 2 tablespoons whiskey in a bowl.
Taste briefly – if you prefer it heartier, add a pinch of pepper or chili flakes.
Let stand at room temperature for 5–10 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
– As a glaze: Brush onto ribs, wings, steaks, or burgers near the end of cooking and let it caramelize briefly.
– As a dip: Pour into a small bowl and serve immediately.
If the sauce has come into contact with raw meat, bring it to a rolling boil for 2–3 minutes before glazing. Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 2–3 days.
