BBQ Sauce with Whiskey & Maple Syrup – 3-Minute Glaze for Ribs, Wings & Steaks

Ingredients for about 100ml

  • 100 ml BBQ sauce to taste
  • 2 tbsp maple syrup
  • 2 tbsp whiskey

    Mix

    Thoroughly mix 100 ml BBQ sauce, 2 tablespoons maple syrup, and 2 tablespoons whiskey in a bowl.

    Season to taste

    Taste briefly – if you prefer it heartier, add a pinch of pepper or chili flakes.

    Let it rest

    Let stand at room temperature for 5–10 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.

    Use

    – As a glaze: Brush onto ribs, wings, steaks, or burgers near the end of cooking and let it caramelize briefly.
    – As a dip: Pour into a small bowl and serve immediately.

Tip

  1. If the sauce has come into contact with raw meat, bring it to a rolling boil for 2–3 minutes before glazing. Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 2–3 days.
