Chili Con Carne

Chili con Carne with 2–3 tbsp “Geiler Scheizzz – Die Kiezhölle” by Rock’n’Rubs

Ingredients (for 4 servings):

  • 500 g ground beef
  • 1 large onion, diced
  • 2 cloves of garlic, finely chopped
  • 1 red bell pepper, diced
  • 1 can kidney beans (about 240 g drained weight), rinsed
  • 1 can of corn (approx. 140 g drained weight), rinsed
  • 1 can diced tomatoes (about 400 g)
  • 2 tbsp tomato paste
  • 300 ml beef or vegetable broth
  • 2–3 tbsp "Geiler Scheizzz – Die Kiezhölle" by Rock'n'Rubs
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil (e.g., rapeseed oil)
  • Optional: lime, fresh cilantro or parsley, nachos for serving

Preparation

    Sauté onions & garlic

    Heat the oil in a large pot, then sauté the onion and garlic over medium heat until translucent.

    Brown the ground meat

    Add the ground beef and sear well until nicely browned, breaking it up with a wooden spoon as it cooks.

    Add paprika and tomato paste

    Add the diced bell pepper and tomato paste, and briefly sauté.

    Stir in "Geiler Scheizzz – Die Kiezhölle"

    Now add 2–3 tablespoons of the seasoning blend and stir well to let the flavors develop.

    Add the liquid and tomatoes

    Pour in the diced tomatoes and the broth, then stir well.

    Simmer

    Let everything simmer over low heat for about 20 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.

    Stir in the beans & corn

    Finally, fold in the kidney beans and corn and let simmer for another 10 minutes.

    Season to taste

    Season to taste with a little salt or lime juice if desired.
