Pulled Pork “Sundae”

Pulled Pork in a Jar (BBQ Cup): BBQ Beans, Coleslaw & Sour Cream – quick party recipe

Ingredients

  • ready-smoked pulled pork made from pork neck (here seasoned with Rock'n'Rubs "Sweet Rub of Mine")
  • Peachy Bourbon BBQ Beans (see recipe below)
  • Sour cream or crème fraîche
  • Coleslaw (American-Style Cabbage Salad)
  • BBQ sauce to taste

Preparation

    Prepare

    Gently heat the pulled pork (ready-to-eat, smoked) and the Peachy Bourbon BBQ Beans. Drain the coleslaw. Optionally, fry the bacon until crispy. Have the BBQ sauce ready.

    Choose glasses/cups

    Prepare 300–400 ml heatproof jars or cups.

    First layer

    Add some pulled pork and top with a dollop of BBQ sauce.

    Second layer

    Add a layer of BBQ beans on top.

    Repeat

    Layer pulled pork, BBQ sauce, and beans again until the jar is about two-thirds full.

    Topping

    Top with half Cole Slaw and half sour cream (or crème fraîche).

    Finish & Serve

    Drizzle with a little BBQ sauce and, if you like, garnish with a slice of crispy bacon. Serve warm and enjoy.

    Tip: A mildly sweet and fruity BBQ sauce pairs especially well with your pulled pork seasoned with Rock'n'Rubs "Sweet Rub of Mine."
